Every year tells a story, and 2024 has been nothing short of transformative for Iridium. It’s been a journey filled with growth, and countless moments of resilience. While the road has had bumpy moments, the lessons we’ve learned and the successes we’ve celebrated have set the stage for an exciting future. Here’s a snapshot of the big moments for 2024:
We grew
The Pretoria office is becoming a powerhouse, thriving under the leadership of Felicia, Head of Gauteng. With her guidance, the team is growing and blossoming. And there’s more good news! In early 2025, 4 new cloud accountants will be joining the ranks, bringing the team to an impressive 14 members strong.
The Cape Town office is entering 2025 with exciting developments and significant growth. Early 2025, we will welcome 10 new cloud accountants to the team, bringing the total team count to 61. This growth reflects our commitment to scaling our services and meeting the evolving needs of our clients.
Finally, congratulations are in order for Marizette, who has been promoted to Practice Coordinator. In her new role, she will lead our accounting teams, ensuring the continued delivery of our service and fostering collaboration within the department.
We trained
This year we focused on soft skills training targeting areas of business decision making, performance management and business communication. We also had various workshops this year in the office with Bridgement, MyGrow, Xero and Dext. We believe it is important to upskill the team members and develop all skills beyond the technical.
We won
A major highlight for the Automation Team this year was winning the Rising Star Award at the Cin7 Global Partner Awards held in Dallas. This prestigious recognition is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and hard work the team has consistently delivered. Jaryd represented Iridium at the event, accepting the award on behalf of the team.
Simon and Peter were also awarded a trip to XeroCon in the UK, for being the global Beautiful Business Fund partner winner. XeroCon UK was a fantastic experience filled with learning, networking, and, of course, plenty of fun.
2024 was a bumper year, filled with so many happy moments to celebrate. With such a successful year, we are looking forward to 2025 with great anticipation, knowing that we have the perfect team to rocket us to even greater heights.
